I.D.: Sexes similar: gray upperparts; white belly and undertail coverts; faint eye ring; 2 faint wing bars; light lower mandible; long tail with thin, white border. Fall birds: olive-tinged. Size: L 51/4-6 in. (13-15 cm). Range: uncommon migrant and summer resident in the southern U.S. Rockies. Habitat: pinyon-juniper woodlands; also in sagebrush and juniper woodlands. |
