Ash-throated Flycatcher

Myiarchus cinerascens

I.D.: Sexes similar: gray-brown upperparts; gray throat and breast; yellow belly and undertail coverts; dark bill; dense crest; 2 white wing bars; no eye ring; tail shows some rufous in the webbing.

Size: L 7-8 in. (18-20 cm)

Range: uncommon to common migrant and breeder in western Colorado and Utah; accidental elsewhere in the Rockies.

Habitat: semi-open areas with pinyon-juniper woodlands.
